The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía is probably the biggest museum I have ever been to. Honestly, I had no idea they had so many amazing things - I’m not ashamed to admit that I only wanted to go because I knew they had Picasso’s most famous painting, Guernica. But they had some amazing pieces by Dali, and a really cool painting (that is sort of how I pictured those Charles Ryder did while he was in South America in Brideshead Revisited) by someone whose name escapes me at the moment. TBA. They also had a handful of Goya pieces, which I believe we drawings… and all so haunted and cool. He’s sort of what I think of as the Poe of his type of art. I love it.
